Home | Bio | Books | Selected Writings | Intuitive Grace Workshops | Meetings with Miracle (My Blog) | ContactI was born in Chicago, but grew up in the suburbs. After high school, I attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. I relocated to Washington D.C. and joined the staff of Senator Paul Simon. I completed my graduate work at Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law. After graduation, I found a position at the United States Environmental Protection Agency. In 1995 I went to the farm of Miracle the White Buffalo in Janesville, Wisconsin. That experience changed my life and inspired my love of writing. I feel blessed to have been in the presence of an animal considered sacred by many. After relocating to North Carolina, my earliest published work appeared as guest commentaries in the local newspaper. By the Side of the Buffalo Pasture, a memoir of visits to Miracle’s farm, was published in August of 2006. Reflections on a Haitian Pilgrimage published in August of 2009 continues my commemoration of Miracle's influence on my life. Walls is my current work in progress. My desire to share the experience of having visited Miracle led to the creation of a workshop. Titled Intuitive Grace, it is based on excerpts from my first book. After a short reading, I present a basic relaxation technique. It is preparation for a guided meditation during which participants are lead on an imaginary journey to the side of Miracle's pasture where they may experience Her magic for themselves. |
